We are slowly moving towards Spring with some lovely snowdrops and daffodils poking their heads up and we are set for warmer (wet!) temperatures this weekend.

Cancellation Policy

Learning & Development have reviewed the general Terms & Conditions and as part of this the Cancellation Policy has been updated.  Charges for non-attendance and cancellation within 10 days will resume from 1^st April 2025. This was temporarily halted due to the Covid epidemic in 2020.  The charge is levied to recoup a proportion of the overheads incurred.  Late cancellation by delegates means that it is not possible to fill spaces on events in time and can impact the viability of an event actually going ahead.  If delegates don’t turn up to events they’ve booked or cancel within 10 days this impacts Learning & Development future provision of further events.

It is important to note that even though a course may not have an up-front booking or attendance fee, cancellation and non-attendance charges do apply.

Delegate Cancellation:

Confirmed places that are cancelled 10 working days (i.e. Monday-Friday) or less before the course takes place will be charged at the standard rate.  This is £50 for a half day event, £90 for each whole day (i.e. £180 for a two-day event). 

Delegate Non-attendance

The same charge will also be made for non-attendance on the day without any notice, or late arrival or if a delegate has not completed the required pre-work to enable them to attend the event. 

Suicide Prevention in the Context of Domestic Abuse Training (Half Day, Online)

 Domestic abuse and suicide are interconnected, as victims experience profound psychological distress and emotional trauma. Sadly, for some, this can lead to an increased risk of suicidal ideation. Evidence suggests that women who have experienced domestic abuse are three times more likely to die by suicide, and those who have experienced sexual abuse in a relationship, seven times more likely to end their own lives. Providing support at the right time to prevent these tragedies is essential.

Recognising the warning signs of suicidality and identifying periods of heightened risk can be lifesaving. This half-day online session is open to all West Sussex professionals who want to help those affected by domestic abuse. Participants will learn important skills to identify the signs of suicidal thoughts, times of heightened risk and how to provide support to individuals . By increasing knowledge and training, we can create a safer and more hopeful environment for those experiencing domestic abuse.
