Transparency Update Bulletin - August - September 2023

The Chief Data Officer is excited to announce the Data Service Catalog launch. The catalog of services marks a significant milestone backed by a team of data experts to support state agencies. 

The Data Service Catalog offers essential resources for state agencies to leverage data as a critical asset with ethical stewardship.

GEOHub is Oregon’s single source for Authoritative Geospatial Data.

In 2017, the Oregon Legislature passed House Bill 2906, now codified as ORS 276A.500-515, to improve and increase the sharing of critical geospatial data.

GEOHub is built and designed to serve as a one-stop hub for geospatial data and resources for the public and public bodies.

GEOHub stores and catalogs geospatial Framework data which are statewide datasets that serve multiple purposes and are necessary to support the business processes of government agencies.

State Budget Resources

The state budget allocates all revenue resources including General Fund, Lottery, Federal, and Other Funds that pay for public services.

Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs)

ORS 183.310(9) defines "rule" as any agency directive, standard, regulation or statement of general applicability that implements, interprets or prescribes law or policy, or describes the procedure or practice requirements of any agency.

OARs are published by the Oregon Secretary of State.

Oregon Transparency Program

Opening state government to everyone. The transparency program created an open resource where Oregon taxpayers can easily access the details on how the state is spending their tax dollars and what performance results are achieved for those expenditures.
