1. Inclusion Funding – Summer Term Claims

For those settings that have had Inclusion Funding agreed for the Summer Term, the Online Provider Portal (OPP) will open for claim submissions from Monday 5 June and will remain open until Friday 16 June.

Please ensure that you refer to the ‘How to claim child-level funding’ guidance prior to submitting your claim. The guidance can be found here (then click on the Help and Guidance PDF).

For those settings that were sent an Inclusion Funding Claim form, please return these by Friday 16 June so that your claim can be processed.

2. Person Centred Planning (PCP)

West Sussex County Council and Inclusive Solutions have been working together to up-skill staff and parent carers on a range of Person Centred Planning processes. This will enable a structured conversation to be held that will discover what is most important to a person (or group) and agree the opportunities and support required to give them the best chance of experiencing this.

More information on the strategy is available at: https://westsussex.local-offer.org/information_pages/128

Training to support this is available. Dates and locations of this training is available on the attached flyer.

3. Child Safety Week 5-11 June

Summer is coming and it’s fun to play outside. We all need to keep active to stay fit, but babies and children need supervision whilst they are being active and learning new things.

We all have a part to play in preventing accidents among children and know that nothing is more powerful than the voice of experience. The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust Child Health Improvement Team would like you to promote the Child Accident Prevention Trust Child Safety Week and share the attached important safety messages with parents and carers.

Information within the attachment also includes training opportunities and references to support evidenced based practice.
