The Conservation Volunteers
🆕Clayton Vale's Green Community Hub
A new opportunity to get involved with your local green space by volunteering, learning new skills, connecting with nature and meeting new people!
They are running fun and free environmental conservation and nature connection activities at Clayton Vale with sessions alternating each week.
Starting on 20 June:
- Alternate Thursdays 10am to 1pm, Practical environmental conservation.
Tasks may include:
- woodland management
- path improvements
- species identification/ citizen science
- pond and waterway maintenance
- meadow management
Starting on 27 June:
- Alternate Thursdays 10am to 11.30am, Nature based wellbeing sessions.
Activities may include:
- nature crafts such as willow weaving
- wellbeing walks
- species identification
- mindfulness in nature
Whether you are looking to be more active, spend time in nature, meet new people, gain skills for employment or simply have some time to spare - everyone is welcome!
You are welcome to join both types of session every week or just one type every other week. There is no obligation; you can come as often or as little as you like. Transport to Clayton Vale may be available from a local community venue if needed.
