IARA County/Local Records Management - This Year's a Wrap!

Warmest greetings Clerks and staff,
Can you believe we made it through 2020?! Congratulations, pat yourselves on the back! And thank you for sticking it out with me every Monday as I send you records management information via email.
In my final email for 2020, I wanted to recap some important topics we covered and ring in the New Year with a clean slate! But first...
Please send me the 2020 and 2021 name/contact info of the Chairperson and Secretary for your County Commission of Public Records.
To recap past emails, we covered topics like:
- Updated forms, policies, and schedules such as SF44905 Notice of Destruction, SF30505 PR-1, Policy 20-01 & 20-02, County/Local General (GEN) retention schedule, AS and LIB retention schedules, and others.
- How to utilize the State Imaging and Microfilm Laboratory's Services.
- Organizing, planning, and executing meetings of your County Commission of Public Records.
- Understanding retention schedules, finding record series, and locating office specific retention schedules.
- Electronic records management, managing social media records, and content management systems.
- The records management partners: IARA, CCPR, and you, the County/Local Records Custodian!
- Determining what format and medium you want to keep personnel files in for those loooong 75 years.
- The difference between the copy of record and a duplicate.
- Hosting a virtual meeting.
I'm sure I've left a few things out, but hopefully some of the records management information that I sent along has been helpful for you, or will be in the future.
