Greetings Clerks and staff,
Are you feeling a bit overwhelmed by files and folders and the sheer amount of data piling up? Are you ready to grab control of your files and take organization to the next level? Are you wondering how to manage your electronic records, but aren’t sure where to start? IARA has you covered with a handy guide: Electronic Records Storage and File Management Best Practices (see attached).
In a nutshell, give files and folders descriptive names, devote time to cleaning and organizing file storage locations whether they are in the Cloud or not, keep personal items to a bare minimum, know what your responsibilities are for maintaining files over the long-term, and understand which file formats will be your best bet.
There is so much information one email can’t hold it all! So please find more details in the attached guide. If you have any questions, please get in touch at erecords@iara.in.gov.
Enjoy Thanksgiving, however it looks this year!
