5. 30 Hours Extended Entitlement – Autumn Term Deadline

Parents who are expecting to start receiving Extended Entitlement funding in Autumn term must apply for their codes with the HMRC as soon as possible. HMRC sometimes require more information from the parent to determine eligibility, parents should therefore apply in good time to ensure they can claim next term.

Please encourage parents to:

  • apply now to ensure they have their 30 hours code before the start of next term;
  • reconfirm their eligibility to ensure they continue to be eligible for Extended FE every three months.

The deadline for applying/reconfirming for the Autumn term is 31 August 2018.

Remember, you can carry out an instant 30 hour code check using the ‘Online eligibility checker’ via the OPP. See our OPP help guide for further guidance: www.westsussex.gov.uk/ecsportal
