1. Free Entitlement Autumn Term Estimates – now open
The Online Provider
Portal (OPP) is now open for you to
submit your Autumn term estimates for Free Entitlement (FE) 2,
3 and 4 Year Olds: www.westsussex.gov.uk/ecsportal
Headcount Day for Autumn
term is 20 September 2018.
Our quick and easy
video guide explains how estimate payments work, and then shows you how to
submit your estimate claim via the OPP. Alternatively, you can use the
Estimate help guide PDF version. Both can be accessed from here.
The
deadline for estimate submissions is 6
July 2018.
Do not submit your actual data at this
time. If you do, this information will be overwritten and lost. We only
require estimate information at present and we will request your actuals data
in due course.
If you
have any questions, please email free.entitlement@westsussex.gov.uk or phone the Family Information
Service on 01243 777807.
2. 30 hour codes for Autumn 2018
Parents
expecting to start accessing their Extended Entitlement this September (Autumn
term) must apply for their codes with the HMRC as soon as possible and before
31 August 2018.
HMRC has advised that parents must register for a 30
hours place for their child before the end of August 2018 to get an eligibility
code before the start of the Autumn term.
Early Years providers should advise parents to ideally register by the end of
July, as the process can take a few days and some issues may need to be
resolved.
As you know, not all parents can get a code straight away – HMRC sometimes
needs more information to check whether a parent is eligible.
HMRC also wants to remind existing parents to reconfirm their eligibility
through their Childcare Account for 30 hours and Tax Free Childcare every three
months. Parents should receive a text/email reminder for this.
If
you have any questions about free entiltlement eligibility please get in touch
by emailing free.entitlement@westsussex.gov.uk.
