2. Free Entitlement Summer Term Estimates – now open
The Online Provider
Portal (OPP) will open on 22 February 2017
for you to submit summer term estimates for Free Entitlement 2, 3 and 4
Year Olds. The deadline for estimate submissions is 17 March 2017.
It’s quick
and easy! Please follow the guidance titled ‘How to submit estimates’ available
here.
Remember we
need the total number of FE hours
expected to be claimed in Headcount week
only. Our system will automatically calculate the estimated total number
of FE hours for the term.
Headcount
day for summer term is: Thursday 11 May 2017.
You must
ensure that you have submitted your claim for funded 2, 3 and 4 year olds
through the OPP by the deadline. Failure to do so will mean payments will not
be made until after headcount has been processed. Please see the attached
document ‘Important Information - FE Summer 17 term Estimates’ for further
information.
Please do not submit your actual data at this
time. If you do, this information will be overwritten and lost. We only require
estimate information at present and we will request your actuals data in due
course.
If
you have any questions, please contact the Family Information Service
specialist team on 01243 777807 or email free.entitlement@westsussex.gov.uk

3. Inclusion Funding – Spring Term Claims
For
those settings that have had Inclusion Funding agreed for the Spring Term, the Online
Provider Portal (OPP) will be open for claim submissions on Monday 6 March and
will remain open until Friday 17 March.
Please
ensure that you refer to the ‘How to claim child-level funding’ guidance prior
to submitting your claim. The guidance can be found here
(then
click on the Help and Guidance PDF).
For those settings
that were sent an Inclusion Funding Claim form, please return these by Friday
17 March so that your claim can be processed.
4. Staff Module – Frequently Asked Questions
The
Workforce Development team have compiled a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’
document to collate answers to the most common queries settings have about the
Staff Module. We hope these will help to support your use of the Staff Module.
The document will be available on the WSCC webpages in the future, so please
check for further updates.
If you
would like to submit a question to be added to the document or provide feedback
on your experience using the Staff Module, please email Workforce.Development@westsussex.gov.uk.
As we come
to the close of the financial year, please take this opportunity to ensure your
staff lists are up to date via the Staff Module. During April, we estimate that
it will take up to 21 working days to process your staff changes. An update in
February / March will support the calculation of rates and processing Training
Subscription Scheme applications in April allowing you to make the best use of
your new subscription and access to courses.
Please
find the Provider Portal and the ‘Provider Portal -help and guidance’ document here
