The DfE are providing nationwide Regional conferences for senior education leaders, focussed on the importance of the reception year and the impact of a good level of development on the overall attainment of pupils.
The West Midlands conference is scheduled for 3 July 2025 at Wolverhampton Racecourse and attendance can be confirmed through Eventbrite - Best start in life by DfE Live Events
This event will facilitate productive discussions about high-quality reception in schools, in line with the government's Plan for Change. This conference is one of the key initiatives supporting schools and the sector in improving Reception year quality as part of the national RISE priority. One free place is available per organisation.
