On Saturday 26 October, we will upgrade the Schools Core Network between 9am and 5pm, but this may continue into Sunday 27 October. During this time there will be no internet access, so any services which require internet access will also become unavailable, for example Bromcom. The annual consultation period for admissions policies is between 1 October 2024 and 31 January 2025. If you wish to make any significant changes to your 2026/27 admissions policies this needs to be agreed by your governing bodies within the Autumn term and consulted on for a minimum of 6 school weeks, ending no later than 31 January 2025. Primary and Secondary schools have been emailed to confirm the process, any questions please contact: admissionsconsultation@coventry.gov.uk
Details of all school consultations should be published on the individual schools' websites and sent to the above email address for the LA to review. These will then be made available as and when received to view on the Coventry City Council website

Elective Home Education: For details on the process for schools deregistering pupils for home education please see our Schools Guide. Please note that you do NOT need to wait for the LA to authorise deregistration. School should action this from the point at which they complete the EHE online referral. It can be backdated to the date the parent has expressed in their communication with you. Please ensure timely referrals are made to minimise potential safeguarding gaps.
