Hello,
As we wrap up from summer break, school is in full swing, which means cool fall nights and Friday night lights at ACHS. I want to thank the community for being patient with one another on the roadways during the back-to-school rush of pickups and drop-offs.
Recently, the community had a rash of mail thefts in the late afternoon and evening hours. The victims describe the suspect vehicle as a tan or silver SUV. If you see a similar described vehicle driving suspiciously in your neighborhood, please do not hesitate to report it immediately to ACPD at (707) 253-4451.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and once again, ACPD officers will wear pink patches on their uniforms. Starting October 1st, you can purchase a pink ACPD patch at 911 Donaldson Way East for $10.00, and all proceeds go to breast cancer research, treatment, and education.

Earlier this month, ACPD hosted Coffee with the Cops. This was the first meet and greet since COVID-19. The community can grab a cup of coffee or other morning beverage of their choice and converse with ACPD officers and me. We had a great time at the last event and met some new community members. |
|
Last spring, your City Council approved my recommendation for a traffic enforcement supervisor. Sergeant Chet Schneider, a long-time ACPD supervisor, will take on that new role starting in the middle of October. He will be in charge of traffic enforcement, school resource officers, and community outreach. Sergeant Schneider will coordinate with city and non-profit staff for security at all our community events. At the next community event, please congratulate him and say hi.

Respectfully,
Rick Greenberg Chief of Police

Did you know that registering your bicycle's serial number can be a game-changer in keeping it safe and secure? That's right! By taking just a few minutes to do this, you significantly increase the chances of recovering your bike in case it ever gets lost or stolen.
Why Should You Register? It helps the American Canyon Police Department identify and return your bike if it's found. Increases the chances of catching bike thieves and preventing future thefts. Provides evidence for insurance claims if needed.
How to Register:
1. Note down your bike's serial number. You can find it typically underneath the bike frame near the pedals or on the seat tube.
2. Access the online form HERE.
3. Fill out the form with accurate information, including the serial number and a brief description of your bike.
4. Hit submit, and you're all set!
Alternatively, you can also register your bicycle simply by dropping by the American Canyon Police Department at 911 Donaldson Way East, or calling (707) 551-0600.Let's all do our part in ensuring the safety of our beloved bicycles and encourage others to register theirs too!
