Hello,

Even though we need the rain, I hope everyone can get outside and enjoy this nice weather. I want to remind everyone the heart auction ends this Sunday, February 27th, at noon, and they will begin taking hearts down this Saturday. Anyone can bid, and this is a wonderful opportunity to take home a unique piece of art in support of the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation and our local schools.

I want to remind everyone again tax season is in full swing, and we have been getting a lot of reports of identity theft. We recommend doing any tax documents online if possible. Mailboxes are prime targets for theft this time of year. One way to prevent mailbox theft is to purchase a locking mailbox. This small extra expense could save you many headaches in the future. 

We had a wonderful success story from a community member who had several thousands of dollars worth of tools taken from their driveway in broad daylight. Their camera was able to catch the suspect and a vehicle. ACPD officers located the vehicle in Vallejo and recovered all of the victim’s tools. I want to remind everyone to register their cameras.

Recently we have had a cold snap, and the roads have been icy. Please remember to slow down and allow extra time to reach your final destination. Lastly, I would like to return to in-person neighborhood watch meetings, please stay tuned, and Community Resource Officer Maureen Patterson will be publishing more information about this.
