Thank You Awesome Teachers!
As this challenging year comes to a close OSPI Social Studies offers sincere thanks for your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to teaching Social Studies education. Whether in person, remotely, or in hybrid settings Social Studies provides students with the opportunity to engage with the world around them and create meaningful connections through geography, economics, history, civics, and social studies skills.
There has been no shortage of powerful historical events this year from pandemics to attacks on our democratic institutions. Thank you for providing meaningful opportunities for research, conversation, and inquiry. While we are busy planning ways to support you on your return in the Fall we want to wish you a terrific summer of rest and rejuvenation.
With gratitude,
Jerry Price
OSPI Social Studies Program Supervisor
