Monday, May 19th is our last early release Monday for this school year.
Dismissal at 12:25 p.m.
Your child will follow the same dismissal procedure (staying or leaving early) as indicated for the previous early release dates.
SACC is open at dismissal time.

FCPS Free Community Peer Preschool Program
The Community Peer Project will provide an opportunity for preschoolers with special needs to work and play on a regular basis with typically developing preschoolers from the community. The community children participating in this project have the unique opportunity to make new friends and share experiences with the school’s preschoolers.

Attend an informational playdate on June 5th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Deer Park. Parents will be notified by June 14th if space is available.
Optional Parent Input Form
In planning for the next school year, parents/guardians are invited to complete the Parent Input Form to assist with the best class placement for your child. We ask input on how your child best learns and any special considerations when placing students in classrooms.

2025 Deer Park Unified Special Olympics
Join our opening ceremony parade, bring a poster and your Olympic Spirit as we celebrate the Deer Park Unified Special Olympics event on May 30th.
The parade will begin at 12:15 p.m. at the main entrance of the school (Door 1) and will go all the way to the track in the back of the school.

Deer Park's Field Day is June 2nd and we need parent volunteers to help run the fun stations.
Grades 3 - 6 will be 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Grades K - 2 and Enhanced Autism will be 12:15 p.m. to 2:20 p.m.

 Asha-Jyothi 2025
Deer Park is pleased to announce that we will once again partner with Asha-Jyothi to support their 17th Annual Fun Run! The Asha-Jyothi (AJ) 5K Run is a fun-filled family event with foot tapping music, delicious food and a friendly course. It is a volunteer based non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the underprivileged by providing access to education and healthcare.
AJ generously donates all the registration money from each school back to the school for its STEM needs.
Last year we had 153 participants from Deer Park! Let's beat our number of registrants from last year - this is a huge fundraiser for the school and a great opportunity to practice our running! Register now and join the fun!

FCPS Comprehensive Boundary Review
Families, staff, and community members will soon be able to explore and visualize potential boundary scenarios using a customized Boundary Explorer Tool. The tool will be accessible from the FCPS website. You are also invited to participate in another series of community meetings in order to review and reflect on the initial draft scenarios before the start of summer break.

OTA Summer Camp Pass
Overtime Athletics Summer Camp Pass is back to allow you the MOST flexibility and LOWEST prices that you can find in the Northern Virginia Camp scene! Just choose how many weeks of camp you would like to join us for this summer and reserve your spot today. These can be used for any of our traditional day camps (and you don’t even have to choose just one!). All Families will receive an email from the OTA Team in February for final week/location selection. Any Add-ons may be purchased at this point.
