Hello, Robinson Families,
On September 13, Robinson will begin RAMS READ time, each Monday we have an Advisory Period. Rams READ is a time when the entire school stops to read choice material – books, magazines, newspapers, eBooks, etc. Choice reading is one of the most effective ways to improve students’ literacy skills! Please support RAMS READ time by encouraging your students to bring choice materials to school and participate during Rams Read.
Resources:
*** If students are looking for a great read, they can browse this site for reading recommendations: https://robinsonss-fcps.libguides.com/finding-your-next-book
**** Students may also access items digitally, by visiting the Rams Read choice board: https://robinsonss-fcps.libguides.com/finding-your-next-book/rams-read

Social Work Spotlight

High School- I am Camille Mountjoy and this is my first year working as a school social worker at Robinson. I received my Bachelor's of Social Worker from Christopher Newport and completed my Master's Degree in Social Work at George Mason University. My past experience includes working as an Intensive Care Coordinator for United Methodist Family Services, where I assisted both youth and families. In addition, during graduated school I interned within FCPS as a school social worker. During graduate school, I also interned at a residential treatment facility in Northern Virginia, where I worked with a diverse population of adolescent residents ranging from ages 13-18 who had been referred by the court. Aside from work, I enjoy going hiking, listening to music and going for runs. I look forward to being a support to Robinson this school year.

I am Christyn Levy and this is my eighth year working as a school social worker at Robinson. I attended the University of Tampa and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Washington. In 2019 I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia. Prior to working in the schools I worked with children and young adults in emergency shelter programs and short term residential programs for homeless and foster care teens and young adults, domestic violence programs, and other emergency service programs. Our family relocated from Seattle to Northern Virginia in 2010 to be closer to family. My husband, two elementary age kids, one cute puppy, and a fluffy cat like to stay busy going on road trips, playing board games, and being outside. I look forward to being a resource to the Robinson community. |
