If you have a member of your team who would be interested in joining this group, please send their names and email addresses to CHCOCouncil@opm.gov by 12/19.
OPM to Launch New Federal Workforce Data (FWD) Website in the New Year
OPM is developing and testing a new Federal Workforce Data (FWD) website that will replace the legacy FedScope platform after the first of the year. This modernized site will offer a more intuitive, transparent, and reliable way to explore federal workforce data, with improvements designed to meet the needs of today’s analysts, leaders, and the public. FWD introduces predictable monthly data updates, helping users rely on timely information. Each dataset will include clear release notes that flag missing submissions or data quality concerns, along with access to policy and data standards documentation for greater clarity and consistency. The new website also delivers a significantly improved user experience, featuring interactive visualizations, simple filtering tools, and the ability to switch between charts and tables or export data for deeper analysis. FWD expands available content with new datasets, including administrative leave, telework and remote work, and performance rating distributions. Users will also be able to access properly redacted person-level data, enabling richer analysis while protecting privacy. OPM looks forward to sharing the FWD website as we complete final testing and prepare for the launch of the live site. If you are interested in learning more about the new FWD site or have any questions, please email EHRIhelp@opm.gov.
