CBP understands that some brokers have encountered ACE technical issues tied to increased volume of employee reporting due to the pending April 14th deadline to report employees. These issues include the inability to edit individual employee's information due to an 'invalid page' error and bulk uploads not returning successes even when the data elements are all correct.
These technical issues are mainly impacting the largest brokers. Brokers should continue to upload current employees, end dates for terminated employees, and changes to employee information to ensure they have a current employee list reported to CBP by April 14th.
Pursuant to CSMS message 55845210, if a broker has a legitimate need for additional time to comply with the employee reporting requirements, they need to submit a request to CBP Broker Management Branch at brokermanagement@cbp.dhs.gov. Such requests should explain the broker’s situation and how much additional time is needed. CBP understands that ACE technical issues, including those described above, may necessitate some brokers to request additional time.
A Quick Reference Card (QRC) for the Broker Reporting changes in the modernized ACE Portal is available on the ACE Training and Reference Guides webpage on CBP.gov. Also, CBP provided the trade community with additional guidance on the Add/Upload Feature and updates on fixes for the Broker Employee Reporting Functionality in Modernized ACE in CSMS# 54657364 and CSMS# 54964247.
