2. Early Years Initial Teacher Training at the University
of Brighton
Are you a graduate working in an
early years setting? Have you considered Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)?
EYTS is the graduate
qualification for practitioners working with children aged 0-5. Early Years
Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) is a fully funded course for graduate
practitioners who are working towards Early Years Teacher Status. A financial
incentive of £7,000 is paid to the employer to support the trainee to be
successful in meeting the Teachers’ Standards (Early Years).
On successful completion,
trainees are awarded a postgraduate certificate (PG Cert) in Early Years
Education with Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) and 60 masters-level credits.
For more information please visit our website or contact the EYITT Programme Assistant, Helen Carter, at eyitt@brighton.ac.uk or 01273 641931.
