Craft village perfect spot for Easter weekend
You can currently access Holme Grange from the south on Heathlands Road, via Nine Mile Ride or Honey Hill and there's free parking on site.
We know it might take a bit more time to get to the Holme Grange Craft Village at the moment, but it and all other local businesses remain open and are well worth visiting.
Follow Holme Grange on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with what’s happening there.

More than £4,000 won by residents this year
Forty residents have already scooped cash prizes amounting to £4,325 by playing the Wokingham Borough Community Lottery this year.
Prizes have ranged from £25 to a whopping £2,000, which the lucky winner is planning to use on a New York getaway.
In addition to the weekly prize draw, each month players are entered into the national super draw, with rotating prizes up for grabs.
This April, you can win a Nintendo Switch 2 gaming bundle, including a 50’’ 4K Smart TV. Or they can take the £1,000 cash.
To play, buy a lottery ticket before Saturday 25 April. You’ll also be in with a chance of winning the weekly £25,000 jackpot.
Tickets cost £1 and at least 50p goes to a local good cause of your choice.
A place to belong and feel valued
When mental health challenges forced one CLASP member to step away from everything, including their friends and community, the team never gave up.
They kept gently checking in. Not pushing. Just reminding them: you’re valued, you’re missed and when you’re ready, we’re here.
The member shares: “Coming back to CLASP reminded me that I am valued – not just as a member, but as a person. Those small moments of contact meant everything. I felt welcomed, appreciated and recognised for who I am and what I can contribute.”
Now they’re looking ahead with hope: “I know there are people who care, who stand beside me, and who believe each of us deserves a happy and fulfilling life.”
Social Care Future is a movement working toward communities where everyone feels they belong. We're sharing stories that show what this vision looks like in practice. This story comes from one of our partners, CLASP, a self-advocacy group run by and for people with learning disabilities in Wokingham Borough.
Road closures for upcoming utility work
From Monday 20 April to Monday 18 May, Scottish and Southern Energy Networks (SSEN) are closing various roads between Barkham and Wokingham:
Meanwhile, from Monday 20 April to mid/late June, Southern Gas Networks are closing and diverting part of Lower Wokingham Road near Crowthorne.
This is for upgrades to a gas main, replacing outdated metal pipes with more durable plastic ones, which helps to future-proof the network.
