The deadline for both the childcare provider survey and early years census is Friday 23 January 2026.
Childcare Provider Survey
Last week you were sent an email with the link to the childcare provider survey along with the privacy notice. You can see these at the buttons below. This should be completed by all providers - not just those who deliver early education.
You can complete this on the provider portal.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: To support the LA in their statutory duty to return the Early Years Census, all Providers MUST complete the 'My Details' section prior to submitting the headcount claim.

The Lunar New Year (also known as 'Chinese New Year', although its celebration is much wider across the world than just in China) falls on 17 February 2026. This year it is the Year of the Horse.
EMAS have a variety of physical resources to borrow, including lanterns, toy firecrackers, paper dragons, lion heads etc as well as children's clothes and calligraphy kits. Please contact Lucy West if you would like to book any of these resources out Lucy.West@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate different traditions and cultures with the children in your settings.
