Warehouse Operative
You will play a key role in delivering their mission to reduce food waste, CO2 emissions and feed people by helping to receive and re-distribute surplus good food to our Community Food Members (CFMs).
You’ll work closely with the FareShare Operations team to ensure the efficient running of the operation each day. This includes actively working and engaging with their volunteers to accurately pick and pack customer orders, providing excellent customer service to their CFMs, processing goods-in, doing regular stock takes, keeping the warehouse clean and safe, and following all relevant policies and procedures like Health & Safety, Food Safety and Safeguarding.
You’ll need to believe in their mission and values, be a confident communicator, able to manage tasks in a workplace where no two days are the same, and have a tenacious approach to getting the job done. Ideally you’ll have experience working in a warehouse or operational environment, and of working with volunteers. If you don’t have these qualifications yet, they’ll invest in your training for Food Safety Level 2 and an FLT licence.

They are running fun and free environmental conservation and nature connection activities at Clayton Vale with sessions alternating each week.
