Manchester’s New Economic Strategy – Have Your Say on The Future Growth of Our City.
Manchester City Council is developing a new Economic Strategy for the city which will set out the Council’s ambition that Manchester will have a high performing economy which benefits all residents. The new Economic Strategy will underpin the growth of the city over the next 5 to 10 years.
We want to hear from people who live or work in Manchester to help us shape the future growth of the city. We have developed an online survey where you can share you views, which is available here: Manchester’s New Economic Strategy Survey
We will also be having in-person conversations share more information about the strategy and provide further opportunities for people who live or work in Manchester to have their say. If you have an existing group or network you would like us to attend, please contact charlotte.moore@manchester.gov.uk

Loads To Do
Summer is here, so it's time to get out and about! It's never easy to plan how to keep families busy over a long holiday, but Loads To Do is here to help. The website Loads To Do is stuffed with fun and free activities to keep children and young people in Manchester entertained and stimulated throughout the summer.
The website Loads To Do will be updated throughout the holidays with loads of activities for children and young people across parks, sports, libraries, galleries and more to help keep residents and their families busy and entertained this summer without breaking the bank.
A guide to universal (open to all) activity which includes some free and low-cost options
Summer holidays can be difficult for some families. The cost of extra food, childcare, and activities to keep the children active and entertained can be challenging.
The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is a scheme funded by the Department for Education. It gives children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals the opportunity to take part in fun, enriching activities and receive a healthy meal. It runs during Easter, summer, and Christmas school holidays.
Places on the holiday schemes are available free of charge to children aged 5 to 16 who receive free school meals. Each programme will provide delicious, healthy meals, allow kids to get active, help them learn new things, make friends, and have fun.
A guide to HAF activity - only available to families with children on benefits-related FSMs

It's Never Too Late To Start Volunteering
Volunteering is when someone spends time doing something to benefit others. It can include shopping for someone, being a mentor, assisting someone with a job search, giving reading lessons, helping at a food bank, befriending – and much more. Anyone can volunteer; you can do as much or as little as you like, to fit around your life. It may be a regular activity, a one-off, or anything in between. Volunteering is for people of all ages, abilities, experiences and backgrounds. You don’t need any skills or qualifications to begin volunteering. Your past experiences may be extremely useful when volunteering
How can I get involved?
