In the first consultation, residents from Cranbrook, Broadclyst, Clyst Honiton, Rockbeare, and Whimple shared their views on current arrangements, and how Cranbrook’s planned expansion areas should be governed.

East Devon District Council has now made draft recommendations on how boundaries affecting Cranbrook Town Council and four neighbouring Parishes should be altered.

Cliff fall at Beer Beach

Left: view of the cliff fall from Beer beach. Right: the cliff fall and damage on top of Duckys

To protect visitors at Beer Beach, the section by Ducky's has been cordoned off, until the cliff fall has been inspected and made safe. This cliff work will be completed by contractors, on behalf of Clinton Devon Estates, who are responsible for this section of cliff.

Cliff falls are a natural and unpredictable occurrence along the East Devon coast; the rock from which the cliffs are formed is soft, and therefore prone to rock falls and landslides, which can happen at any time.

Remember to separate glass jars and lids

When recycling your glass jars in your recycling box, please be a super-recycler and take the lids off, then drop them into your green recycling sack. We can then recover the lids too. The lids are made from aluminium which is a really valuable metal.

If you're unsure if something is recyclable or which container it should go in, visit the council website:
