We’re inviting state funded primary schools in Coventry to take part in a study testing a new maths and science programme called ‘Stop and Think’. The study is being funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and will run during the next academic year (2022-2023).
Stop and Think is a software programme developed by neuroscientists at Birkbeck University which uses quizzes and games to help pupils learn counterintuitive concepts in science and maths. In a previous study, pupils who used the programme had higher attainment in science (+2 months progress) and in maths (+ 1 months progress).
Schools can sign up by emailing stopandthink@bi.team or booking in a call.
With some successes already behind me, I’m now ready to officially launch Skint2Mint, and I’d love to see you and your colleagues at the event on Tuesday 8 February. You’ll be joined by other supporters, teachers and head teachers, and my mentor Steve Hughes, CEO of Coventry Building Society. You’ll hear about my journey so far and how I’m planning to grow my organisation, bringing more essential financial education to children.
If you’re interested in attending, please rsvp by Tuesday 25 January to skint2mint@gmail.com when I’ll send you all the information you’ll need to know for the day.
