There is a new opportunity for educators to join the National Alliance of School Crisis Responders, a new and free organization created by Michelle Strain, Executive Director of Prevention and Intervention Services at the OSDE. Strain leads Oklahoma's school crisis response.
The organization is in early stages. There are plans for collaboration and best practices sharing for educators across the United States. A few states are already on board to join the alliance.
At this time, this is a free organization where school crisis responders can come and share ideas with like-minded people. The resources are free, and there is no official membership fee. As the planning team continues to meet, they will work to determine what everyone wants and needs out of this alliance.
