Contact OMES
At OMES, our main goal is to provide the best customer service possible. We are committed to being customer-focused and making complexity invisible. To help with this mission, we’ve made some organizational changes and realigned our teams to better meet your needs.
A key organizational change is the creation of a dedicated Government Relations team, which will replace the account manager role. This new team is at the forefront of our agency's legislative and interagency initiatives, prioritizing exceptional customer service and fostering stronger lines of communication with the Legislature.

OMES helps OKDHS install new technology and maintain operations
OMES recently helped Oklahoma Human Services at one of their facilities. This is what working together is all about!
“OKDHS needed help installing new technology at one of our centers and quickly reached out to OMES," said Lindsey Kanaly, deputy director of Oklahoma Human Services.
"After some quick planning and meetings, OMES worked out a plan to get OKDHS across the finish line. Even with all the weather issues, OMES completed the job late Friday night. We were able to keep everyone safe and maintained operations. The OMES team were the experts that we always want on our team.”
OMES IT Asset Management drives technology cost savings for agencies
OMES IT Asset Management recently helped the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation save $500 on refurbished monitors and docking stations.
“Our partnership with OMES ITAM is about more than just tracking assets – it’s about eliminating waste, increasing efficiencies, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used where they matter most," said Erik Friend, chief technology officer for ODTR. "By improving transparency and optimizing how we manage technology and resources, we’re not only reducing costs but also reinvesting savings into initiatives that directly benefit Oklahoma’s residents and visitors. This growing collaboration is a prime example of how state agencies can work together to drive smarter, more accountable government.”
In a digital-dependent work landscape, ITAM optimizes the utilization, maintenance and disposal of state IT assets throughout their life cycle, ultimately reducing costs and improving overall efficiency for the State of Oklahoma.
State agencies looking to save money on IT equipment, whether it's monitors, keyboards, mice, etc., will soon be able to take advantage of OMES' refurbished IT store. Additionally, ITAM provides all necessary cables with every purchase, just like ordering from a manufacturer.
Email ITAM@omes.ok.gov today to get started.
IT Asset Management relocates to OMES Information Services
OMES consistently works to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and expand its excellent customer service offerings. Recently, IT Asset Management was reassigned from the Capital Assets Management division of OMES to the Information Services division. This decision does not impact the services OMES offers, but it ensures that OMES is able to offer secure, organized and accessible services to those who serve Oklahomans. Some changes you may notice include the migration of ITAM's ServiceNow catalog items and website information to IS.
These migrations are ongoing, and if you have trouble accessing ITAM's information or services, please email the team at ITAM@omes.ok.gov.

OMES CAR transitions to ServiceNow
OMES Central Accounting and Reporting (CAR) is pleased to announce the implementation of our service request platform within the state's work management system, ServiceNow.
About this transition: The Statewide Accounting and Finance Center of Excellence (FCOE) teams now offer ServiceNow catalog items for your agency's use. This replaces two department email addresses (accounting@omes.ok.gov and dcarcore@omes.ok.gov), enhancing our ability to efficiently track and manage every request submitted to our office. The platform also offers metrics to help us continuously improve our service quality. If you email the decommissioned department email addresses, you will receive an automated reply directing you to the ServiceNow portal.

Deferred Maintenance update
This month, construction progressed smoothly at the M.C. Connors Building and the Oliver Hodge Building, where new sliding doors were installed at the courtyard entries. The crews have since switched to the parking lot entries to begin the final phase of this project. Contractors on the Transportation Building air handler project completed demolition and are actively removing debris in preparation for the assembly of the new air handler upon delivery.
Crews on the Agriculture Building projects began installation of the new variable air volume drives (VAVs), which will provide optimal HVAC system operation. Phase one is progressing as planned and is expected to be complete by May 2025.
The Will Rogers Building and the Sequoyah Building will begin construction in mid-April. Each building will have new entryways installed at all four entrances. Additionally, the electrical, entryway and elevator projects at the Denver Davison Building are moving to the construction phase, and a preconstruction meeting with the contractors will be hosted shortly.
Many of the other projects in phase one of the eight-year plan are moving through the design phase, where safety, cost efficiency and optimized functionality are the priority.
We will continue to provide updates as projects progress. View the dashboard for real-time updates and details on all FY 2025 Deferred Maintenance projects.
