The annual Employee Health & Benefits Expo will be held on Friday, Sept. 26! Join your fellow employees at the Union County Agricultural Center and Simpson Events Center from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for this great event.
What’s happening at the Expo?
The Expo provides opportunities for employees to interact face-to-face with our benefit vendors and learn about the benefits available to you. Meet representatives from Empower who administer the NC 401(k) and 457 plans, staff from The Employee Health & Wellness Center, representatives from BlueCross and Blue Shield, Liviniti, Sun Life, Atrium Health Employee Assistance Program, HealthMapRx, Civic Bank, and many more.
- Have lunch and mingle with your colleagues.
- Enter prize drawings and visit the photo booth.
- Play games sponsored by Union County Water and see live demonstrations.
The Expo does not happen without you! Please consider volunteering for a 20-minute slot to assist at the Expo. Volunteer slots are available at the registration table and gift station. Thank you in advance for volunteering your time.

Updates are coming to the hiring process! Directors, Supervisors, and HR Liaisons will be required to attend one of the Hiring Manager Trainings to learn about upcoming changes. Topics will include following: Enhanced Recruitment Workflow, Best Practices for Compensation, Electronic PAF overview, closing out requisitions, and much more.

- Recognize their role in suicide prevention.
- Learn signs of suicidality.

Our Employee Health & Wellness Center, managed by Atrium Health, is open to assist with your healthcare needs.

- Visit the center website to schedule an appointment or call 980-993-9140.
- Same-day appointment slots are available each day and are visible on the website for scheduling after 6:15 p.m. for the following day. These appointment slots should be used for urgent care/sick visits only. Be sure to show up for your appointment or cancel your appointment in a timely manner if you are unable to attend.
- Flu shots are now available for covered health plan members. Contact the center to schedule your vaccination appointment.

Covered health plan members can meet with a registered dietician or nutritionist for up to 30 visits per plan year. Nutritional counseling offers personalized assistance in adopting healthy eating habits, making dietary changes, meeting your health goals, assisting with meal planning, portion control, and addressing eating patterns.
