NCDPI Office of Charter Schools (OCS) Updates

2016 Charter School Performance Framework

OCS has received many inquiries about the 2016 NC Charter School Performance Framework (PF).   The office worked closely with the Charter Schools Advisory Board and the NC Department of Public Instruction technology staff  to revise the PF to include a more simplified document and efficient data collection system.  OCS will use a single data collection system utilizing Microsoft SharePoint to collect documentation needed for the PF.

We launched nine pilot schools on June 16, 2016 to test the system before the state-wide launch on June 23. Attached is a revised version of the PF and a document list to help you prepare for collection.  Your school should not have to create any new documents for this collection. Data collection for the 2016 Charter School Performance Framework will begin on June 23 and conclude July 8.

We will offer training for Microsoft SharePoint  via webinar and provide on-going support as needed. We look forward to working with you to complete this process. Please contact Cande Honeycutt at cande.honeycutt@dpi.nc.gov with questions or concerns regarding the Performance Framework.
