Welcome to the Provider Hub Newsletter, published by the State of Minnesota Provider Hub team! We’re glad you’re here.
In the April edition of the newsletter, you’ll find:
Are you a provider who currently uses or will use the Provider Hub? Do you want to share your experiences? Complete this interest form to let us know.
The Provider Hub team regularly does research and testing with providers (called “design research”). We use the feedback we get to keep building and improving the online tool.
In design research, there are no wrong answers: “It’s not a test for you, it’s a test for the Provider Hub.”
After you complete the Feedback Opportunities Interest Form, your name and contact information is added to a roster. The Provider Hub team then uses this roster to contact providers as research needs come up.
The form asks for some details about your program and what types of research you may be interested in (surveys, interviews, workshops). This helps us match feedback opportunities with providers.
Thank you for offering your time and expertise!

Earlier this spring, the State of Minnesota shared a timeline update about the launch of family child care licensing in the Provider Hub.
We will not make a decision on when to launch family child care licensing in the online tool before the end of the Minnesota Legislature’s 2026 session.
Before launching family child care licensing in the Provider Hub, we need to understand what, if any, changes the legislature will make to family child care licensing standards. Any changes would likely need to be incorporated into the Provider Hub.
Updates will be provided after the legislature has concluded and we can assess the impact of any changes.
Review the complete spring 2026 update — emailed March 30 to family child care providers — for more details.

Beginning June 22, 2026, the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) will require some child care providers who receive payment from the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) to submit electronic attendance records using the Enrollment & Attendance feature in the Provider Hub.
DCYF mailed notices to providers subject to this requirement in March 2026.
DCYF is working with a vendor to improve the current Enrollment & Attendance feature in the Provider Hub before June 22, 2026.

The Product Success team — the group of local experts here to help you find success with the Provider Hub — share two tips based on recent conversations with users:
Issues with your password?
If you’re having trouble logging in to the Provider Hub, try resetting your password.
Step-by-step instructions in Reset Your Password can help.
Authorized Agents of licensed child care centers: Need to update your contact info?
Unlike other users, a program’s Authorized Agent must request a change to their contact information in the Provider Hub — they can’t update it themselves.
Because the Authorized Agent is the official person responsible for communicating with the licensing agency, the assigned licensor needs to review and approve any changes to the Authorized Agent’s information.
Get detailed instructions on how to submit this type of change request in Request an Update to Your Authorized Agent's Information.

The Provider Hub is an online tool for social service providers to apply for and manage licenses/certifications, funding opportunities and other available government programs.
We continue to improve the online tool and build new features. As we do so, more providers will get access. Check out the Provider Hub webpage for details on current availability.
