FROM THE DESK OF EIM…
As we transition from autumn to the holiday season, work on the IMPACT project continues to progress. In October, much of the work was focused on interfaces – connections to other State of Michigan data systems – and data migration. Ensuring OSMIS data is migrated over to IMPACT accurately is a critical step in successfully transitioning to the new system. The project team practices the migration and analyzes it against established metrics to ensure data has moved to the correct locations in the new system. The migrated data also allows testing to be completed under more realistic data conditions. The project team has also continued progress on Quality Assurance Testing (QAT) to ensure the IMPACT system is ready when the time comes for User Acceptance Testing from end-users.
We are continuing to ramp up efforts to keep future IMPACT users informed on the project. See below for two key opportunities to keep you in the loop: a website and Townhall meetings.
As the year ends, we encourage you to submit any additional questions, comments or topics you wish for us to cover in these monthly communications. These requests can be sent to LEO-MIS@michigan.gov.
We look forward to hearing from you.
