In Academic Year 2025-26, the Office of Higher Education will be sending a month end GovDelivery recapping the communications shared that month. This is not an exhaustive list and we encourage you to review all previous messages.
- All State financial aid programs received appropriations.
- Review a summary of program updates taking effect in Academic Year 2025-26.
- Fall Certification and Requests for Reimbursement are now available for most programs.
- Review the Payment Schedule for a complete list of payment details.
- Academic Year 2026-27 is active in MiSSG and the 2026-27 ISIRs are now loading into MiSSG. Institutions will see 2026-27 student data and 2026-27 reports/rosters as the system processes ISIRs.
- We strongly encourage all financial aid professionals to thoroughly review the manual for updates and clarifications to policies for Academic Year 2025-26.
- The 2025-26 State Programs and Procedures Manual now includes the updated 15-month initiation requirement.
- Fall Certification for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship is open.
- First quarter payments for most programs are scheduled to be issued on November 12, 2025.

- Register to attend MSFAA training on November 19, 2025!
- The automatic system updates to review Michigan Achievement Scholarship students who previously had awards certified for less than full-time and determine if they now meet the 15-month initiation requirement is now live! Institutions should download new information rosters and evaluate students who are now eligible.
- The next phase will enable institutions to perform a manual update to a student’s Michigan Achievement Scholarship record. This manual update allows an override of the 15-month requirement
- High school graduation data for 2025 high school graduates from Michigan’s Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) is now available in MiSSG. This data is current as of August, 2025.
- Non-public high schools are not required to report graduation data to CEPI; therefore, institutions are responsible for collecting and evaluating high school graduation completion data from private high school graduates and any other students not confirmed by CEPI ( i.e. home-schooled students, etc.).
- High school graduation completion information may be confirmed in the Student Information section of MiSSG.
Note: State of Michigan offices will be closed November 11, 2025 in honor of Veterans Day.
