We are excited to announce that high school graduation data for 2025 high school graduates from Michigan’s Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) is now available in MiSSG! This data is current as of August, 2025.
Please note, since CEPI has an appeals and audit process from August to December for prior year high school graduation data, a very small number of these students’ graduation confirmations may be changed. We will be in touch around January if there are any impacted students enrolled at your institution.
Also note, non-public high schools are not required to report graduation data to CEPI; therefore, institutions are responsible for collecting and evaluating high school graduation completion data from private high school graduates and any other students not confirmed by CEPI ( i.e. home-schooled students, etc.).
High school graduation completion information may be confirmed in the Student Information section of MiSSG. If the ‘HS Grad Confirmed by CEPI’ indicates “Yes,” this can be used as documentation for a program review. If the status is “No” or blank, the institution must provide proof of high school completion. The ‘HS Grad Confirmed by CEPI’ information can also be found on the ‘Eligible Students Report’ and ‘Information Roster.’
Please note that this data update may change the eligibility status of students on your roster and we recommend evaluating your eligible students regularly to ensure accuracy and updating information, as necessary.
The following programs require proof of high school completion:
- MI Future Educator Fellowship
- MI GEAR UP Scholarship (MI GEAR UP)
- Michigan Achievement Scholarship/Community College Guarantee
- Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship
- Michigan Competitive Scholarship (MCS)
- Michigan Tuition Grant (MTG)
- Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)
For detailed information on high school completion requirements, please review the 2025-26 State Programs and Procedures Manual (page 13 – 14).
