Carmel City Councilor Bruce Kimball passes away at 70
Carmel City Councilor Bruce Kimball passed away Friday, December 30, at the age of 70. Kimball was in the middle of his second term on the Council, to which he was first elected in 2015 and then re-elected in 2019.

Bruce loved Carmel and worked diligently to make it a special place for his constituents."
On Tuesday, January 3, a solemn funeral procession took place through the Central District KImball represented. The procession stopped at City Hall with flags flying at half-staff and City employees there to pay respect. Kimball's tireless devotion to making Carmel a bike-friendly community and his commitment to our city will be greatly missed.

Redistricting for 2023 elections are in effect
As we near the election season of 2023 and candidates for City offices begin to announce their intentions regarding the Primary Election in May, residents should take note of the new City Council districts that were mapped out and approved by the Council last year. These new district lines go into effect with this year's elections. Many residents will be voting for different council representation than in the past. If you have any questions about your address and what changes, if any, were made, you can call the Hamilton County Elections Office at 317-776-8476 and they can help you.
