As part of a multi-pronged economic recovery framework, workforce development is a primary focus for the City of Fremont. The City's new 'Earn and Learn Fremont' (ELF) pilot program launched last week and applies an 'earn and learn' model that is providing individuals displaced due to COVID-19 from service sectors and introducing them to careers in manufacturing with paid work experience at Evolve Manufacturing, a local medical device manufacturer, and customized training from Ohlone College.
Construction is underway on the California Nursery Historical Park Backbone Infrastructure and Site Work project in the Niles District. This project is part of the Phase 1 implementation of the park’s master plan adopted by the Fremont City Council in December 2017. Once complete, the enhanced park will include improvements such as accessible pathways and plaza areas, as well as it will also be equipped with benches and seatwalls, picnic tables, drinking fountains, bicycle parking racks, pathway and security lighting, and much more!

Movie theaters may open indoors with 25% maximum capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer. Hair salons, barbershops, and personal care services may continue to operate indoors with modifications.
