Hello American Canyon,
Last week’s Magic of the Season celebration brought our community together for a festive evening at Shenandoah Park. Families enjoyed delicious food, holiday performances and our annual tree lighting. Thank you to everyone who supported our small and local businesses at the holiday marketplace, and to the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce for helping make the event possible.

The Reindeer Run also saw a great turnout with more than 1,000 brave souls embracing the cold morning air, and all the splendor the Wetlands has to offer. Thank you to the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation for hosting another successful event.
Yesterday, City employees gathered at the Fire Station for the annual holiday luncheon. It was an opportunity to recognize the hard work of our staff and spend time together before the end of the year. This year’s PEAK Performance Awards were awarded to Brian Mattern, David Farley, Kristine Delos Santos and Julieanne Geilfuss. I’m grateful for the dedication our team brings to serving this community every day. |
|
In the spirit of the holiday season, City employees also supported the American Canyon Fire Protection District, in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program, by donating unwrapped toys for children in Napa County. I encourage our community to consider donating as well to bring joy to local families this holiday season. |
|
As we close out the year with this final update, I hope you enjoy a safe and meaningful holiday season. Thank you for your continued involvement and support. Here’s to another wonderful year ahead.
Take care,
Jason B. Holley City Manager

Greetings American Canyon,
This week marked an important milestone for our community with the installation of new restrooms at Wetlands Edge Park. This improvement reflects our continued commitment to listening to resident feedback and investing in the outdoor spaces that make American Canyon such a special place to call home. As more families, walkers, birdwatchers and trail users enjoy the Wetlands, amenities like this help support comfort, access and a welcoming experience for everyone.

I want to thank City Manager Jason Holley and the many staff members whose planning and coordination made this project possible. Their work ensured a smooth installation and represents another meaningful step forward in strengthening our outdoor recreation system.
Last week, our community also came together for the annual Magic of the Season celebration. Seeing families and neighbors gather to enjoy this tradition was a meaningful reminder of what the holidays are all about.
|
As we continue through this holiday season, I’m grateful for your continued partnership in shaping a vibrant and connected American Canyon.
Together in service, Mayor Pierre Washington
