Hello,
Thank you to all who attended the Volunteer Recognition Ball last Saturday and celebrated our 2025 Gateway Award Winner, Toni Jo Payne. It was an excellent night to celebrate alongside the community members who have played a meaningful role in American Canyon’s community spirit and development. I look forward to seeing Toni Jo Payne as the Grand Marshal in our 4th of July parade later this year!
And while there’s a lot to celebrate in our community, there’s also a lot happening on our streets. The reliability and enhancement of our streets is a high priority in American Canyon. That commitment is reflected in two current projects in the Rancho Del Mar and Knightsbridge Way neighborhoods focused on improving the water mains and pavement.
The Rancho Del Mar project consists of pavement rehabilitation by removing and replacing the existing street surface (cape seal), replacing and upgrading the water main, and adding sewer lining using a trenchless method in the eastern portions of the neighborhood. The contractor has started the first phase of work, including concrete work, which will last through early July.
As for the Knightsbridge Way Reconstruction project, the City is replacing the water main and rehabilitating pavement on Knightsbridge Way (Elliott Drive to Danrose Drive) and nearby cul-de-sacs.
Please pardon the construction noise and truck traffic during work hours! To get the most updated information on both of these projects, visit our Construction Updates page.
As a final reminder, our next Free Shredding event is tomorrow, Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the American Canyon City Hall parking lot. Bring your personal documents for a safe, secure and free disposal.
Take care,
Jason B. Holley City Manager

Today, I want to share how our Water Treatment & Distribution team works hard to provide high-quality drinking water to residents and businesses in American Canyon. Our commitment goes beyond simply supplying water; we aim to safeguard your health at every stage.
Every day, the City’s dedicated water professionals oversee a meticulous process to ensure your water is clean and safe — carefully testing it and using advanced treatment methods to remove any contaminants.
At American Canyon’s Water Treatment Plant, we produce up to 5.5 million gallons of drinking water daily. This water meets some of the highest standards in the nation, as we are held accountable to both state and federal regulations. Our team is steadfast in monitoring your water on its journey from the source to your tap.
American Canyon is committed to protecting public health and promoting environmental stewardship through each phase of the process. I invite you to learn more at AmericanCanyon.gov/WaterQuality and keep an eye out for our annual Water Quality Report in June.
Together in service, Mayor Pierre Washington
