The 2024 Plan Year is underway. This means your annual benefit limits have renewed as of January 1, 2024. Employees enrolled in a Maricopa County health care plan are entitled to annual checkups and other preventive services at no cost, when using in-network providers.
Preventive Care is meant to evaluate your health when you are symptom-free. Getting routine preventive care can help you stay healthy and detect problems at early stages when they may be easier to treat.
Symptom-Free = Cost-Free:
- All County Medical Plans have a $0 copay / $0 coinsurance for preventive care and certain vaccinations when utilizing in-network providers.
- There is a $0 copay for routine eye exams utilizing a Plus Provider through EyeMed.
- County Dental Plans offer two free preventive, routine cleanings per year, when utilizing in-network providers.
Take an active role in your health, take advantage of your benefits, and schedule an appointment with your in-network provider to keep your health in check.

It's Tax Time Again – Are You Prepared?
Statement of Medical Benefits Notice
While Workday is the County's new HR system, ADP works with us to process W-2s and report taxes to the IRS.
Due to this collaboration, employees should have received a 1095c form in the mail from ADP (not Workday) by the end of January.
Employers are required to provide this form, but it doesn't need to be submitted with your annual tax return. Keep in mind, however, some tax preparers may require it.
Questions about Form 1095c? Contact the Benefits and Wellness Division at 602-506-1010 or benefits@maricopa.gov.
