Hello Team,

I am happy to announce we have a new HR Director. Emily Parish will lead the department starting February 12th, 2024. 

Emily has served as the Human Resources Director for the State of Arizona since 2020. In this role, Emily leads the human resources strategy and operations for the Arizona State Personnel System, comprising approximately 34,000 state employees. Prior to this position, Emily was a policy advisor and director of boards and commissions for the State of Arizona. In this role, she administered hundreds of board appointments and led the development of the universal licensing recognition policy, making Arizona the first state in the country to recognize occupational licenses for new residents. 

I want to thank Jan Plank for serving as Interim HR Director these past few months, and for sticking around to support Emily during the transition.  Please join me in thanking Jan for her leadership and steady hand, and in welcoming Emily to the Maricopa County team!
