All Employers | All Insurance Benefits
The first month of survey results are in from the Universities of Wisconsin (UWs) member experience in My Insurance Benefits. The results were mostly positive with some members providing specific, actionable feedback as well. Here are a few of the highlights:
- 3 out of 4 members who took our survey expressed satisfaction using My Insurance Benefits to enroll in or change benefits.
- Overall, 70 percent rated the process as easy, and 20 percent rated it difficult.
The survey also provided us with feedback on potential areas for improvement. Benefit plan detail integration and document upload capabilities are two areas that we are working to improve as we prepare for more members to use My Insurance Benefits in 2026.
My Insurance Benefits Offers Robust Search Functions
All Employers | All Benefits
My Insurance Benefits offers basic and advanced search functions. With the basic search function, you can search for your employees by Name (last name, first name), Social Security number, or ETF Member ID. You may also check the “Remember this selection” if you routinely search using the same identifier.
Advanced search will take you to the Member tab to search for members using additional criteria such as employment status, benefits, task list, or categories.
Life Insurance Annual Premium Update Moves to April in 2027
Local Employers | Life Insurance
My Insurance Benefits will enhance automation in reporting annual salaries, life insurance coverage increases, and age changes. With the reset of the local employer launch of My Insurance Benefits to July 1, 2026, new premium rates will be effective on April 1 in 2027 instead of the current date of July 1. This will allow local employers to align the annual premium updates more closely with the calendar year. This change will be effective April 1, 2027, the year after My Insurance Benefits goes live. See this Group Insurance Board memo for more information.
Reminder: Continue Tracking Employee Updates
Local Employers | All Insurance Benefits
In August’s My Benefits Employer News, ETF announced the July 1, 2026 launch date of My Insurance Benefits for all local employers. Please continue to track updates to employee demographic and eligibility information, new hires, and employee terminations for future input in the Employer Transaction Application (ETA). We anticipate reopening the improved ETA to employers within the next few weeks to provide an extended timeline for employers to make employee updates before the 2026 launch. Once the ETA is available, we will offer a demonstration to walk through its functionality.
