All Employers | All Insurance Benefits
After careful consideration and input from many impacted employers, ETF has determined that the My Insurance Benefits launch for all employers and members, except the Universities of Wisconsin (UWs) and the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA), will occur on July 1, 2026. The full range of My Insurance Benefits functionality, including COBRA, billing, and payments will be available on July 1, 2026, when all other employers and members can access the system.
DOA will participate in a focused My Insurance Benefits launch on May 1, 2026. DOA’s implementation will be limited to eligibility and enrollment, which is the same functionality as the recent UWs launch.
Several factors were considered before deciding on two launches and their timing:
- The July 1 timeline for locals allows ETF to be responsive to local employer requests for a summer launch due to high demands on their resources during the beginning of the year, such as tax reporting and WRS annual reconciliation,
- ETF learned a great deal from the smooth UWs My Insurance Benefits launch, which will position us for success with other employers. Doing another focused implementation with an employer the size of DOA will increase the lessons learned to apply to the July 1 launch,
- The July 1 timeline will allow employers to interact with My Insurance Benefits in advance of open enrollment, and
- We will have additional opportunities to optimize the customer experience within the system.
ETF continues to request that employers track updates to employee demographic and eligibility information, new hires, and employee terminations for future input in the Employer Transaction Application (ETA). ETF’s development team is working on new features for the ETA to improve your experience with the tool. We anticipate reopening the ETA to employers this fall to provide an extended timeline for employers to make employee updates before the 2026 My Insurance Benefits launch.
Please continue to read My Benefits for Employers for ongoing updates about My Insurance Benefits functionality and project activities. We will share more information with you as it becomes available.
ETF will continue to provide more detail on the above, communicate additional changes, and ensure you are prepared for the transition.
