Maintenance to close Runway
16R/34L on Aug. 6th

Main runway closure alert

On Saturday, August 6, contractors for Paine Field will be conducting maintenance on Paine Field's main runway, Runway 16R/34L, requiring the runway to be closed to all operations from midnight to 8 p.m.

Contractors will be replacing the top eight inches of asphalt from a section 12.5 feet wide by 375 feet long on the runway between Taxilanes Alpha 6 and Alpha 8. This work is weather-dependent, so the closure may be rescheduled.

Runway 16L/34R will be open during the main runway closure to accommodate air traffic. Due to Taxilane E construction, access to Runway 16L/34R will be limited to Group I aircraft.

Pilots are reminded to check NOTAMs.

Improved Tenant Improvement Request Form now available

Screenshot of new online tenant improvement form

Are you a Paine Field tenant that is considering improvements, building additions, or mechanical and plumbing work? Don't forget that permits from Snohomish County Planning and Development Services are required for these types of work.

Prior to permit approval all building construction, expansions, and land improvements must be submitted to and approved by the airport. Paine Field, in partnership with the County's Information Services staff have made improvements to the Tenant Improvement Request Form (TIF). The form is fillable and will automatically route to Airport staff upon full completion and submittal. Learn more on our website or go right to the form to complete it.

If you do not have an approved TIF included with your permit submittal, your application will be rejected.

New look for Airport Operations vehicles

Airport operations vehicles with new striping

Have you seen the new look for the Airport Operations vehicles? The reflective striping added to the sides and rear of the vehicle should make them more easily identifiable to our tenants and users. Thank you to Operations Specialists Peter LaRussa and Tanner McBride for designing the new look and coordinating the work.
