Students enrolling in the district from out-of-state or out-of-country who qualify for services within the first 4 weeks of the 8-week summative testing window are expected to complete the appropriate WIDA ACCESS assessment. The results will be used as baseline Year 1 data to determine progress toward English proficiency in succeeding years. Students arriving in the last 4 weeks of the 8-week window will be expected to complete screening procedures, and if identified, the district will determine if the WIDA ACCESS summative assessment will be administered.
For the 2022 testing window, students who enroll on or before February 25, 2022, are required to screen and, if eligible for services, complete WIDA ACCESS testing as well. Student who enroll after February 25 are required to complete screening procedures and the district will determine if the WIDA ACCESS testing will be administered.
