You shared, we listened
Over the last two months, our team provided opportunities for community members who live, work, and travel through the SODO neighborhood to learn about Mouth of Duwamish Wet Weather Facilities and share their insights with the King County team. We hosted briefings with community groups, interviewed key partners, attended in-person outreach events, led virtual public meetings, launched an online open house, and gathered feedback through an online survey.
Through each activity, we sought your insights about your values, your community, and ways that we can keep you informed. Thank you to those who participated and shared your thoughts!

What’s next?
In the next few weeks, our team will review your input and summarize key findings for our team to consider. These findings will be among the factors we consider as we narrow our options and select the best solution to reduce CSOs at the five Mouth of Duwamish outfalls Between now and early 2025. Your insights will also help us plan for equity and social justice opportunities and community engagement through planning, design, and construction.
Stay tuned for our next update, which will include a community engagement report and details about what we heard.
