The White River running next to Roegner Park in Auburn, WA.
King County strives to make our communities welcoming places where every person can thrive. We know this critical project to replace the Lakeland Hills Pump Station will have both benefits and impacts to your community.
We received over 300 responses to the Lakeland Hills Pump Station siting questionnaire! We appreciate every single person who took the time to share their feedback.
There are many factors to consider as we decide where to build the future pump station. Your input has helped us understand what's most important to the community.
We heard it was important to:
-
Consider environmental impacts when choosing the new pump station location.
- Maintain park access during and after construction.
- Minimize noise and odor disruptions during construction.
- Incorporate native wildlife habitat or other greenery into the design of the new pump station.
-
Design the pump station to last a long time.
The project team is currently evaluation potential site locations. Once a site is selected, we will notify the public. We expect to have a site selected by late 2024.
