Achieving great outcomes for the Eastside feels even better when they are built with strong community partnerships. Last week, I joined REI Co-op and Facebook to announce a suite of capital investments that will be made by both companies and King County to complete the Northup Way Connector project. Located adjacent to the junction of SR 520 and I-405, the Northup Way Connector will link Eastrail and the 520 Trail and serve as a gateway into the City of Bellevue and the fast-growing Spring District neighborhood.
This partnership between REI, Facebook, Eastrail Partners and King County illustrates how effective we can be when government and the private sector work in concert.

Election Update (Vote!)
As of noon today, King County Elections reports 1,063,976 ballots returned, or about 75% turnout, which is incredible, but we have more work to reach King County Election's goal of 90% turnout.
If you haven’t voted yet, here some helpful resources:
-
Six additional Vote Centers are open (including one at the Bellevue College Gym) with hours on Monday from 8:30am – 6:00pm, and Tuesday, 8:30am – 8:00pm
- If you still need a ballot you have options. You can get your ballot online and print it off at home, or you can pick one up at a Vote Center (see above). Additionally, you can pre-order one to save time at pick-up!
- There’s also still time to register, but voters do need to go in person to a Vote Center and King County Elections strongly recommends to not wait until 7pm on Election Night (Tuesday, Nov. 3). Remember, even with all this early voting, there will be lines.
Finally, be sure to track your ballot to make sure it’s been received and counted!
