Can you believe it? We’re just four days away from the August 4 Primary and 95 days away from the November 3 Presidential Election. As these critical dates for democracy approach, King County Elections is working hard to provide safe, secure and transparent elections for voters.
Right now, turnout for the Primary Election lags the initial estimates. Make sure you take the time this weekend to fill out your ballots and mail them in, or drop them off at one of the many King County Election drop boxes across King County.
If you cannot find your ballot or if it was not mailed to you, there are still ways to get a replacement ballot to vote:
-
Online Replacement. To maintain physical distancing during the pandemic, King County Elections strongly encourages voters to print their replacement ballot at home with its online ballot marking program.
-
Curbside Service Ballot Pick Up: If you can’t print a replacement ballot, curbside service to pick up a replacement ballot is available. This service continues through Election Day (Tuesday) at the King County Elections headquarters in Renton, or at Century Link Field. Before going, be sure to pre-register your replacement ballot online or call King County Elections at 206-296-VOTE (8683). This will reduce your wait time. When you drive, roll or walk-up to either facility, you will be greeted by curbside staff who will help you with next steps to get your ballot. Masks, of course, are required!
Ensuring fair and transparent elections remains a critical priority in King County. Because of COVID-19, public tours or visitors are not allowed at King County Elections, but election observers and media will be allowed on-site to observe the new safety procedures and requirements. Still, you can watch ballot counting and verification in real time using the upgraded election cams that are located in ballot processing areas.
For more information about the steps being taken for COVID read the King County Elections COVID-19 FAQ here >>>
And, remember, to vote! Ballots must be postmarked Tuesday, August 4, or returned to a ballot drop box that evening by 8pm.
