The Workforce Development Team (WDT) is excited to share updates on the Home Study Framework Training and WA CAP Power User Training.
Currently, the WDT is traveling the state and facilitating the Home Study Framework Training. This training involves staff from SAM, KCEU, and Assessment. This training will be available for Regional Licensing Staff and CPAs in early 2023.
Training Focus:
- Introduction to the change
- Permanency Purpose
- Equitable Assessments
- Strength-based Focus
- Home Study groundwork
- Cross program connection and knowledge sharing
Power User Training
The next phase of training is WA CAP Power User Training. By role, Power Users are: Clerical, Executive Leadership, Supervisors, Area Administrators, and program specific positions.
By definition, Power Users are:
- Champions and proponents of WA CAP by Binti
- Users that staff regularly go to for assistance or support already
- Someone who is available to support staff
- Users who are in the system on a consistent, recurring basis
- Consistently involved in testing, provide feedback, input or data to WA CAP team
- Ability to prioritize, ensuring they complete their main job duties, yet maintain an ability to accommodate testing
WA CAP Power User Training Consists of Two Phases:
Functionality Training (Virtual)
- This training is an introduction to the basic layout and navigation of WA CAP. It will include a live learning lab for hands on practice. This training is delivered by Binti.
- This training series starts on 10/4/22.
- Program Specific Training (In-Person)
- This training will cover program specific workflows in WA CAP. This training is delivered by the LD Workforce Development Team.
- This training series starts on 10/18. Please note – specific venues and locations are still being secured.
