Roadrunner Roundup

Dear Little Run Families,

Can you believe we have already reached the end of the first quarter? Time truly flies when our halls and classrooms are filled with enthusiastic learning, meaningful friendships, and continuous growth. We are so incredibly proud of the hard work, perseverance, and curiosity our students have demonstrated every day since the start of the school year.

A vital part of our students’ ongoing success is the strong partnership between home and school. Thank you to everyone who has already connected with their child’s teacher for parent-teacher conferences, and we look forward to meeting with remaining families soon. These collaborative conversations make such a difference in supporting our young learners, and we deeply appreciate the time you take to partner with us.

We also had an absolute blast celebrating Book Character Day today! Our hallways came alive with stories as students and staff showcased their favorite literary figures. Seeing everyone's creativity and love for reading on full display was such a joy and the perfect way to wrap up a fantastic week.

Calendar Reminder:

As a reminder, there will be no school for students on Monday, November 2nd, or Tuesday, November 3rd for a student holiday and teacher workdays.

We hope your family enjoys a wonderful, relaxing extended weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Wednesday, November 4th!

Sincerely,

Christie Yarn, Principal
Alison Butler, Assistant Principal

Action Required: Please Return Your Federal Impact Aid Survey

FCPS is asking all families to fill out a Federal Impact Aid Survey. The form is available in SIS ParentVUE under Online Packets, which is in the upper right corner of the screen after logging in. Please complete it as soon as possible. Schools will provide paper forms to families who have not completed the survey in ParentVUE starting Wednesday, October 28.

Completing this form for each school-aged child in every household is how we ensure we receive all the resources available to us from the federal government. For more information, please visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page.

Register for ParentVUE

Learn how to activate your SISParentVUE account so you can easily submit your survey and have access to other helpful information about your child.
