The SLHS PTSA Food Pantry's 7th Annual Do It Your Way 0.5K
September 29th from 2- 4pm at Lake Anne Plaza. Join our community for lively music, pre-race warm-ups, sweet treats to put a little pep in your step, a raffle, and the most rewarding 650 steps you’ll take all year. Register online here or in-person on the day of the event.
All proceeds go directly toward food, toiletries, and other necessities for South Lakes High School pyramid families in need.

Blue Star Welcome Week! 9/23-9/27
Blue Star Welcome Week is an opportunity for our community to welcome our military-connected families and show them our appreciation for their service and sacrifices. Please help us welcome our military families during Blue Star Welcome Week, September 23 - September 27, 2024, and throughout the year!
To celebrate and welcome our military connected families during Blue Star Welcome week we will be doing the following:
- If you would like us to feature your military connected family member, send a picture of them with our student to Ms. Doan: mdoan@fcps.edu We will feature these pictures as a tribute on our morning news show.
- As a school, we will wear red, white, and blue on Friday, September 27 to honor and welcome all our military connected families and students.

SIBSHOPS: An Exciting, In-person Workshop for Brothers and Sisters of Children with Special Needs
The Sibshop workshops are for children in grades 2-6 enrolled in Fairfax County Public Schools who have siblings with special needs. They will:
- Meet other siblings in a relaxed setting.
- Celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of children with special needs.
- Share sibling experiences and receive peer support.
- Play games and have fun!
